Mandarin

Mandarin is the fruit of different citrus species commonly called mandarin, including Citrus reticulata, Citrus unshiu, Citrus reshni, as well as their hybrids, including Citrus × tangerina, whose taxonomy is disputed.

The mandarin comes from the tropical areas of Asia. It is believed that its name comes from the color of the costumes worn by the mandarins, rulers of ancient China. It can be said that it is a fruit native to China and Indochina. Its cultivation was introduced in Europe in the 19th century.

It belongs to the group of fruits called hesperidia and its pulp is made up of a considerable number of segments filled with juice or juice; which contains a lot of vitamin C, flavonoids and essential oils.
